Giveaway: Le Creuset Cafe Collection in Truffle
This giveaway is now closed. Congratulations to Rebecca G.! I hope you love this Cafe Collection as much as I do!
Even if you've only read a post or two here on Bluebonnets & Brownies, I'm pretty sure it's come across clearly that I am a coffee addict. But let me clarify: I am great coffee addict.
If presented with the option of bad coffee or no coffee, I will choose no coffee. I'm sure The Brit wishes differently, because a caffeine-denied Amber does not a fun day make. But when it comes to coffee, I am an out and out snob, and proud of it.
Because of my crazy obsession, the chance to review Le Creuset's new Cafe Collection was kind of a no-brainer. I'll jump at the chance to feed my coffee addiction for any reason. That it involved my favorite French stoneware just happened to be the icing on the proverbial cake.
One thing that is apparent to me with each piece of Le Creuset stone and cast iron-ware I hold in my hands is the pure attention to detail. Each cup, the cream jug, and the French Press of the Cafe Collection, they sit in your hand perfectly.
I was worried the French Press might be too heavy - a lifetime of typing has left me with less than optimal hand strength. I'm happy to say that the French Press, even when full of delicious coffee, is easy to hold and pour.

Direct contact between the ground beans and water means a stronger, more pure cup of coffee. Perfection on a Sunday morning.
The matching cups, saucers, sugar and creamer, and even coffee storage jar and teaspoons, are gorgeous. Each is made of the quality stoneware you come to expect from Le Creuset. I reviewed the set in Truffle, and I must tell you, I am in love with this color.
Whether they named it for the mushroom or the chocolate, I don't really care. It is flat out stunning, whatever the inspiration.
Would you like to experience the Cafe Collection for yourself?

I "like" you on FB!
Le Cresuet makes incredible cookware and I would love to be able to make roasted corn soup with chicken in one of there soup pots - so pretty I would serve it right out the pot -
I follow Le Creuset on Facebook.
I "like" both you and La Creuset. I like the Heritage traditional Fondue in Cherry!
I LOVE the Heritage 3 Qt. Cast Iron Au Gratin dish in Cherry Red. It would be perfect for serving family style with my Red Fiestaware dishes!
I've been a Le Creuset fan for many years and I was blessed to receive several pieces as wedding shower gifts five years ago. I would really like to have the SQUARE PANINI SET in FLAME ORANGE (http://cookware.lecreuset.com/cookware/product_Panini-Set_10151_-1_20002_10129_10041). I love cast iron cookware - who doesn't love fried chicken or cornbread in that?! - but I've never tried using a grill pan. Kill two birds with one stone: satisfy my Le Creuset cravings AND learn new tricks with a grill pan. SWEET DEAL!!!!!!

You know I love Le Creuset on Facebook
12 qt stocpot in that light blue graduated color. are these okay for glass top ranges?
So, I was browsing through Le Creuset trying to narrow it down to just one piece (do you know how hard that is?), and I kept coming back to the Heritage Traditional Fondue pot in Marseille. Maybe its my love of melty oozy gooey cheese, or my nagging craving for Melting Pot, or the fun that can be had around a fondue pot that's behind it. Either way, I would definitely welcome an extended date with the Le Creuset Heritage Fondue in Marseille (its beautiful and makes me smile) 🙂
