Guest Post – German Chocolate Brownies

This week, I’m visiting my home state of Texas. Several of my blogging friends agreed to do guest posts for me. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. Kristan from Confessions of a Cookbook Queen is laugh out loud funny. Every post to her blog makes me giggle like a school girl, and her recipes are incredibly fun and fanciful. Or as she’d say, pink and sparkly!

Hey guys!!

I’m Kristan, from Confessions of a Cookbook Queen. I’m a displaced housewife living and baking in rural Arkansas. I’m also mom to a sweet baby (6 year old) boy and love cookbooks and anything sweet, pink, or sparkly. Even my blog sparkles!!

My goal through my blog is to encourage my readers to embrace their inner housewife diva and do some baking of their own. Baking is supposed to cool, fun, and even a little glamorous (with the right apron and shoes….) but doesn’t have to be perfect. The important thing is that you put a smile on the face of someone you love…that is what baking is all about.

I’d like to give a HUGE thank you to Amber for letting me visit her blog today…..she is such a sweetie and I always look forward to reading her posts.

Since I am new here and trying to buy friends with baked goods (pretty much how I get all my friends), I thought I’d share a recipe for German Chocolate Brownies. Everyone loves those, right?

I’d love for you to hop over and visit my blog….just don’t judge me if you do. I say embarrassing stuff sometimes and I don’t know why. Okay, I do know why. My plan is to make you feel more normal by sharing my weird habits and secret sarcastic thoughts.

Only…most people email me and tell me they think the same way I do. Which means…..everyone is weird? I don’t know, it’s confusing.

Thanks again to Amber for not only publicly admitting that she knows me, but letting me guest post for her. I hope to get to know some of you guys soon!!

Have a fabulous day!!

I'm not a big brownie person (Weird. I know.), but that topping makes this treat irresistible! Thank you so much for sharing such a decadent recipe!
